The lockdowns. The mandates. The ones screaming “tyranny” and the ones screaming “safety,” and both of them leaving you with the same knot in your stomach. The property tax bill that went up again — of course it did, because then they can collect more tax. The grocery bill that used to feed a family and now barely feeds a week. The inflation they told you was up “just a smidge” while they lived like kings and you watched everything you worked for evaporate in real time.

The bitcoin hacks. The wallet drains. The “oops, we leaked all your information” from every cold wallet vendor that was supposed to be the safe one.

You see how the game works, don't you? How everything is one stacked event after another. How every time you get your feet under you, something comes along and kicks the chair out.

And it's not just the big stuff. It's the diagnosis. It's the betrayal. It's the body that won't cooperate. It's the future that looks like a wall. It's the feeling, late at night, that you're being hunted by something you can't see and can't fight — and that even if you somehow beat this one, there's another one right behind it.

You've been telling yourself it's just life. This is how it is. This is what the world does to people.

No. It isn't. And you know it isn't. That's why you're still reading.

You looked around at a world you were told God created and called good — and you asked, out loud or in the dark, “How is this good?” That's the right question. And it has an answer.

Here's the part that bends your mind. Sit with it before you decide whether to keep going.

What if… what if… none of that ever happened in Truth?

Not “what if it wasn't that bad.” Not “what if you're overreacting.” What if the entire thing — the tyranny, the lockdown, the financial hardship, the loss, the diagnosis, the betrayal, the whole stacked tower of events — never happened in Truth?

That's not denial. That's not “just think positive.” That's not the law of attraction from some guru selling courses off a beach. That's what Jesus demonstrated. That's what Mary Baker Eddy spent her life proving. And it's the reason the world has done everything it can to keep you from hearing it.

You've been told there are two powers. Good and evil. God and the devil. Health and disease. Them and you. Your whole life has been a war between those two powers — a war you keep losing, because no one ever told you the first thing about the battlefield.

There is no second power. There is no second government. There is no second law. There is no “and.”

“That's crazy,” you say. “I saw the news. I felt the lockdown. I got the bill. I have the scar.” I know. I saw the bill too. I felt the attack too. It's there. I'm not telling you it isn't there. I'm telling you it's there the way a fever-dream is there — real to the sleeper, and gone the instant the waking appears.

The whole thing — the evil, the sickness, the loss, the fear — is a negation. Not a rival to good. The absence of it. Darkness isn't a thing that fights light; it's just where light isn't. And when the light shows up, the darkness doesn't “lose.” It was never there.

That's the mind-bender. That's the door.

And here's where it gets even more intense. Because this isn't a philosophy. This isn't a coping mechanism with a Bible verse stapled on top. This is the Truth that sets you free. And knowing the Truth that sets you free is in fact just that: free.

Free to live now. Free to live in this moment. Free to have all things made new. Free to be awake in God's love and care. Free to reflect only His government. His spiritual substance. His body. Life eternal. The Truth that Jesus beheld.

Not “someday, in the afterlife.” There is no afterlife. There's only life, and God is life, and that eternal life is right here, right now — or it isn't anywhere. Jesus didn't come to promise you a better deal after you die. He came to show you the deal was already done, the victory was already won, and the only thing standing between you and it was the belief that there was something standing between you and it.

“The law of the Spirit of life sets me free from the law of sin and death.”

That's not a verse to recite. That's a law to stand in. And I wrote the book for one reason: to show you how to stand in it — and to retire you from a war that was never real.

By the time you finish — and I'd say by the time you finish the first three chapters — you'll have something you've probably never had before: a standing. Not a position you're defending. A position you occupy.

You'll know what it means that God is All-in-all, and what it means that there is no second power. You'll know what to do when the claim comes — the diagnosis, the bill, the betrayal — because you'll have the argument ready. You'll know the difference between the Absolute and the relative, and how to hold one over the other without lying to yourself about what's appearing.

And you'll know — not believe, know — that Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need. Because you'll have seen the mechanism. You'll have seen why it has to be true.

Take it as an argument and try it.

Check the quotations — Eddy's works are in the public domain, and you can go read her yourself and see if I quoted her straight. Read the Scripture in the Authorized Version and see if the reading holds. Then do what the book says to do, and see what happens to the fear.

I'll tell you what I found when I did. The evil day came. It came at me with everything it had, and it looked like it was going to win. And I stood. I didn't fight. I stood. I poured in the one fact line upon line. I held the Absolute over the relative. I gave the I back to the Father.

And the flood came in, the claim went out, and what was left standing was what had been standing all along: the man God made, whole, in the creation He beheld and called very good.

That same standing is yours. It always was. You're not being asked to earn it, achieve it, or fight your way into it. You're being asked to take it. To put on the whole armor. To stand.
